Queer Book Club: Past Editions
Launched in 2019, in partnership with the London Public Library, the Queer Book Club aims to bring all members of our community together in a safe, supportive and inclusive space to enjoy literature, conversation and most of all engage with each other.
This queer-facilitated discussion group is dedicated to reading novels by queer authors that tackle a variety of subject matter and interests.
About our Selections
For the LGBT2Q+ community it is vital that our stories and lived experiences are represented in the world around us and not erased. There is comfort and affirmation in being able to read stories in which we see our selves and our community reflected - stories with queer couples loving and living; stories of queer folks rising up through life challenges and thriving; stories of our past that reflect our struggles and resilience.
With this in mind, every book club selection is carefully selected with the diverse experiences of our community in mind. Within the program year, we strive to ensure that multiple facets of our community is represented and diverse voices are heard.
December 2019's version of Queer Book Club was a special BYOB (bring your own book) edition, check out the LGBT2Q+ literature suggested by our members - Queer Book Club: Member Picks
