We offer counselling and support services to anybody in Ottawa who needs it. No matter what it is that you’re dealing with, we’re here to listen. We offer a safe space, and will help you work through whatever is troubling you.
Our programs are run by counsellors who are highly skilled and trained in each of our service areas. Family services staff and clients who have already benefited from our services are also involved in making our programs as helpful and successful as they are. We’re here. We’re available and we’re open.

Everything we do at family services is focused on helping our clients. Whether it’s an abusive relationship, coping with stress and anxiety, or adjusting to a divorce or separation, we have programs that can help. By helping the individuals who live in it, we help our community. There is nothing more satisfying than that.
LGBTTQ+ Around the Rainbow is a community-based program which provides a full range of education, counselling and support services offered by Family Services Ottawa. We support the lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, two spirit, queer and questioning (LGBTTQ+) communities and allies.
- Counselling - We provide individual and couples counselling for people over the age of 18.
- Workshops, Training and Public Education - Our Trainer and Public Educator provides free community development, education and workshops on LGBTTQ+ individuals and families. We will adjust the training to fit the needs of your organization, social service agency or school.
Groups - Support Group for parents & caregivers of gender creative, trans, transgender children, youth or young adults
Trans Children and Youth Swim Night - Join us for our monthly swim night in collaboration with Camp Ten Oaks for gender creative, gender independent, genderfluid, genderqueer, trans, two-spirit, intersex, agender, non-binary and all fabulous gender diverse children and youth ages 0-24
Transcend Drop – In Trans Youth Group - For gender diverse youth, by gender diverse facilitators. Make friends, get support, do projects or just have fun!
LGBTTQ+ Rainbow Families Art & Play Afternoon Drop-In - For queer & trans parents, caregivers, families, children and youth. For families with gender creative, gender independent and trans children and youth. Join us in art & play activities while connecting with other families. We will have indoor and outdoor activities for all ages.
