Five/Fourteen is the only foster agency dedicated solely to providing services and support to lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans*, queer, two-spirit, and otherwise gender-independent children and youth in foster care.
We provide:
- foster care services in family homes
- community integration support for youth in foster care who identify as LGBTQ2S or otherwise gender-independent.
Five/Fourteen creates a path for our clients to move seamlessly from foster care to full independence with solid life skills and a supportive community.
We’re most interested in connecting foster caregivers in and around Windsor, London, Hamilton, Toronto, Kingston, and Ottawa areas, but we welcome applications from across Ontario. Foster caregivers may rent or own their home, be working or retired, be experienced parents or just starting to expand their family.
