The 519 is committed to the health, happiness and full participation of the LGBTQ community in Toronto and beyond.

The 519 offers internationally renowned Programs and Services and accessible and affirming community meeting space to our diverse LGBTQ2S communities and the Church & Wellesley neighbourhood. We also provide inclusion training to individuals and organizations, and lead key LGBTQ+ advocacy initiatives at various levels. We have more than 25 staff-led programs and 130+ community led programs at The 519. Staff-led programs and services include LGBTQ Newcomer & Refugee Support Programs, Trauma-informed Counselling (individual and group), Housing Support, Trans Youth and Sports Inclusion Programs, Art & Cultural programs, and many others. Each year, The 519's Education and Training team provides inclusion training to more than 300 organizations and 10,000 individuals. Every year over 500,000 visits are made to The 519 with more than 90,000 visits made to The 519-led programs.

During Pride month each year, The 519 hosts the world-renowned Green Space Festival (GSF) with four signature events. GSF is one of the most significant fundraising activities for The 519 and is an important arts and cultural festival for Toronto.

Services & Activities

Direct Service

We provide direct service to members of the LGBTQ2S communities, from counselling services and queer parenting resources to Coming Out groups, trans programming and senior’s support.

Accessible Space

We provide free, accommodating and non-judgemental space where individuals, organizations and non-profit groups can meet, organize and work towards their goals.

Community Leadership

We advocate for progress by sharing the knowledge and insight we gather on the ground through consulting and workshop services, research and public engagement campaigns.
